The DAC also hits far above it's price making it perfect to keep if you ever want to upgrade...
Both the DAC and AMP come with MANY setting to change the sound, they are both controlled by the SAME remote control... The DAC offers options of filters and 11 different sound colorings including emulating tubes which I have tried and really does sound good and full/rich!!!
The DAC supports up to 32bit/768khz as well as DSD and has it's own volume control separate from the AMP all the controls are shown on the small screen on the unit and everything can be controlled by remote!
The AMP has EQ settings for both treble and bass(mid EQ is not needed as lowering/raising both the treble and bass controls the relative forwardness of the mids), it also features 2 adaptive house EQ settings meant to spice up your music and try to chance to what it thinks you would prefer.
On both devices everything form the input/output applicable to the brightness of the screen can be controlled on both devices thru a single remote with the ability to add another compatible device to control.
The AMP powers everything I threw at it and even did a decent job with the 600 ohm headphones I tried, while I wouldn't recommend it for extremely hard to drive headphones if you want headroom it can power pretty much anything else.
