NAD MONITOR SERIES STEREO PREAMPLIFIER Model 1300. Made around 1987.
This unit has been Re-Capped, meaning All the electrolytic capacitors have been replaced with New Audio Grade Elna Silmic II and Nichicon Capacitors. The original caps were YEC, a fairly low cost capacitor of the 80's and all 34+ years old with tolerances that have wandered out of spec.
Also, all suspect and bad soldered joints were touched up and re-soldered where needed. In addition, I cleaned all the control pots and switches with De-Oxit D5 and De-oxit Fader lube for noise free operation of all controls. Did a casual cleanup of the front knobs and tested unit and all inputs including PHONO, CD, Video, Tuner and Tape loop. All are operating nicely. Unit is in Great Shape only a couple of scuffs on top side, pretty typical for its age. All knobs, lever caps and Feet are all original and present.
Note this unit has a couple of switches on the back for different PHONO setup for use with MM (Moving Magnet) and MC (Moving Coil) which basically are different types of cartridges found in various table types.
