MISSOURI BLOB TOP SODA BOTTLE-N.Hildibridle-Boonville--c1870s
Offered is a selection of one original small town Missouri Blob Top soda bottle. The bottle is 6 3/8" tall(in it's present condition), aqua color, embossed on front "N.Hildibridle / & Co. / Boonville / Mo.", back heel makers mark of "I G Co.". Overall frosted condition. As shown, about half of the blob lip is missing, as well as a 3/4" chip on lower back heel. There is a Hutchinson stopper in place in the bottle neck, it was present when recovered along with several other soda bottles from a wide ranging area, leading me to believe that an employee of an early bottling works resided there, and was allowed to fill and take home bottles that couldn't be used by the specific bottler. A hard to find in any condition Missouri blob top soda bottle .Lettering has been highlighted for photo with a dark marker.
