Q : Why use Stepped Attenuator Potentiometer , not ordinary Volume control ?
A : Nothing else to say but it is L/R absolute balanced at any volume level . Each step use 1% SMD High Quality resistors. Ordinary Volume Control will be degraded with age , temperature change (especially in Tube Amp) since ordinary one is formed by sliding circular carbon powdered tracks. It is the reason why the Hi-End equipment always uses Stepped Potentiometer.
Q : What is the difference with
GOLD Plated PCB
?
A : Durable and Low Contact Impedence , and the most important is the clear sound image.
Q : Does it make "POP" sound between steps
?
A : No, the gaps between contact is modified to "S" shape to eliminate the "POP" sound , i.e. first contact (close) before cut off (open).

Q : Can it completely replace the ordinary Volume Control , e.g. Resistance and Size?
A : Yes , the size of this item is standard and compact . Resistance is 20K (Audio type) , the most common value.
