Audio Research SP-2C Preamplifier- Label Signed by William Z. Johnson

You are looking at a Rare Audio Research SP-2C  stereo  tube pre-amp with the label Signed by William Z. Johnson.   I have owned many Audio Research tube preamplifiers and have never seen Mr. Johnson’s personal signature on a label. This preamplifier is in very good condition inside and out, the interior is very clean, as are the Sprague Capacitors, please refer to photos. It looks to be completely original inside and out, I would never change a thing inside, it has that pure “Classic Audio Research” sound. I have seen very few Audio Research SP2 preamplifiers for sale in this condition, most have been worked on, updated or modified. The sale includes the original box. This unit also has vintage British Mullard 12ax7 tubes installed that tested 100% on my Sencore tube tester. I have seen these type of Mullard tubes sell for approximately 0.00 each on Ebay. This preamplifier sounds more musical to my ears than any other preamp I have ever heard,  regardless of price. Please review photos for condition.
