    Description

    Edelweiss-3 Preamp Plus prototype for sale by the author
    Most quiet, transparent and dynamic line level preamp.
    This words belong to one very respected reviewer who uses Wavebourn equipment as a reference of sound quality while reviewing other designs for magazines.
    Never clipping, never slew rate limiting. Can output 60 V at 200 KHz. Stellar quiet, above the roof headroom.
    Thanks to 10W frame grid high gm tubes 8AL9 used, it can output up to 20 mA of current, so can drive even dynamic headphones without the need for a headphone amplifier, keeping the sound clean, transparent, dynamic. TRS headphone sockets are conveniently located at the top of the chassis. However, it won't drive any of your planar magnetic headphones to the realistic life-like loudness, they need more power, except few of them that are most sensitive.
    DC powered filaments, regulated B+ for zero hum and power source immunity.
